Youngs Menswear is the Upper Peninsula’s premier destination for menswear. We have a downtown Escanaba retail store, stocked full of suits, sport coats, dress shirts, ties and much more. We are also the U.P.’s ONLY Suit and Tuxedo rental warehouse. With a large variety of over 1000 suits/tuxedos in stock, we can accommodate large wedding parties as well as last minute individual rentals. Need something more simple than a full suit rental? Our History
The name “Young’s” comes from Jena and Ron Young, a mother and son duo who got into the formalwear business in the early 1990’s. They started as a menswear retail store named “For Men” in the Escanaba Mini-Mall, but quickly changed direction and started renting tuxedos for weddings, proms and events. The store changed names and locations a few times, but grew into what locals have come to know and love as as “Young’s Formalwear” in downtown Escanaba.
Ron and Jena continued running “Young’s Formalwear” for years and was the go-to spot for people across the U.P. to get dressed up. In 2022, after recovering from the Pandemic, with retirement looming, and new adventures ahead, family friend and Escanaba native, Tyler Myrick, began working with Ron and Jena at the store in anticipation to continue the “Youngs” legacy.
Tyler officially took over the business in July of 2024 and continues the tradition of helping the Upper Peninsula look their best. Our new name “Youngs Menswear” encapsulates the growing vision Tyler has to adapt and grow the store to the U.P.’s premier destination for all things menswear.
